We redesigned the Kenneth Cole store locator, working with the global CMO and local store managers to create a seamless, flexible experience that met both brand and community needs.

Kenneth Cole Store Locator

UX Design, Website Design & UX Strategy

Kenneth Cole had been growing its international audience with new stores around the globe and needed an easy, attractive way for customers to find locations nearby. We partnered with the global CMO at the time to create a store locator experience that felt seamless and on-brand. To understand the specific in-store communication needs, we interviewed store managers in different markets—learning how local teams wanted to promote events and connect with their communities. The result was a design system that balanced global consistency with local flexibility, helping Kenneth Cole’s brand feel accessible and relevant wherever customers are.

The creative challenge for a project like this isn’t to reinvent the wheel—it’s to make it roll smoother. The KC dev team had been trying to cram too much explicit content into a layout that couldn’t contain it all.

We took a different approach, finding a way to expand within the existing framework and create a new UX area that integrated seamlessly with the familiar experience.
